Kohner, Mann & Kailas, S.C. is hiring a business development, marketing and communications manager and coordinator to shoulder all responsibility relating to the development and implementation of marketing, client initiatives and marketing strategies relating to all the diverse practice areas and legal disciplines of our law firm. This individual will be responsible for handling various marketing initiatives to promote the firm and its people in a positive and professional manner. This individual will help identify new business opportunities, plan programs, seminars and events, and work with practice groups and individual attomeys to create and carry out business development within the marketing group and business development functions for our law hrm.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide recommendations to promote strategic guidance and recommendations for development and implementation and the updating of business, marketing and development programs, materials and all other pertinent development.
  • Work with the firm's practice groups and attorneys to design, enhance and promote marketing and business development.
  • Manage the firm's projects to develop and formulate business and client proposals, including the marketing of the firm's expertise and experience.
  • Coordinate all work with outside firms and organizations relating to public relations activities, and media advertising. Strengthen marketing positions of practice groups, releases, contact development, procuring space for articles in relevant publications to advertise the firm's abilities, expertise and experience.
  • Support the firm's attorneys in the preparation and development of reports and materials for presentation of promotions to advertise and promote the firm's practice areas and abilities.
  • Aid in the direction and coordination of seminars and conferences to present the firm and its expertise and abilities before professional organizations, industry associations and speaking engagements tending to promote and advertise the firm's abilities and experiences.
  • Aid in the design, planning and networking of all available means for the development of the firm, its marketing interests, upkeep and enhancement of the firm's websites, including search engine optimization and other means of increasing the firm's online visibility and presence.

Qualifications:

  • Proven team player possessing extraordinary interpersonal skills with a history of the ability to work successfully with attorneys and vendors. 
  • History of effective communications skills-both written and oral. 
  • Professional demeanor, including responsiveness, flexibility, adaptability and "client-first" mentality. 
  • Experience in working on complex projects with minimal guidance and excellent success rate. 
  • Ability to prioritize a multitude of tasks and assignments, including the organization and completion of requirements which must be addressed. 
  • Vast experience in addressing project details and follow up to produce excellent and needed results.

Education and Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, journalism, communications or related field. 
  • Post-college public relations or communications experience, and design ability is a plus. 
  • Experience in law firm operation and promotion is a plus. 
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently. 
  • Fluent in online marketing techniques, including but not limited to website development and promotion and social media.
