CLIENT ASSOCIATION: Certification Board of Infection Control & Epidemiology, CBIC

POSITION REPORTS TO: CBIC Senior Program Manager

EMPLOYEE STATUS: Exempt

GENERAL SUMMARY: Manage projects that relate to the marketing of the CIC certification process including, but not limited to: implementing the annual marketing plan, creating promotional materials, organizing conference calls, meetings, exhibit booths, and supporting CBIC and Executive Director to help fulfill the goals and mission of CBIC.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (Minimum of 37.5 hours/week):

  • Serve as the staff contact for the Social Media Liaison(s);
  • Attend partner organization conferences, coordinate logistics for exhibiting, supervise the exhibit booth;
  • Coordinate logistics for CBIC booth and marketing materials at all tradeshows and conferences;
  • Coordinate the production of the e-newsletters and other regular broadcast communications;
  • Develop and implement CBIC’s annual marketing plan including determining appropriate target audiences and institutions, objectives, tactics and desired outcomes under the direction of the Executive Director and Marketing Committee Chair in accordance with the current strategic plan;
  • Oversee content management of the CBIC website including generation of content, development of new website initiatives, and general maintenance and monitoring;
  • Coordinate Certified IP Day in conjunction with IIPW;
  • Create and maintain CBIC promotional materials including brochures, press releases, broadcast emails, flyers, print ads and other communications;
  • Manage annual review of webinars that are available for purchase on the CBIC website;
  • Manage daily social media sites;
  • Create and market various social media campaigns throughout the year;Serve as staff liaison to the CBIC Marketing Committee. Circulate agenda for and take meeting minutes of bimonthly conference calls. Work with Marketing Chair to manage Marketing Committee members and activities;
  • Conduct annual Marketing Committee Chair orientation;Work with APIC staff to post links to articles published in Prevention Strategist and AJIC;
  • Foster and maintain relationships with representatives from partner organizations to encourage support of certification efforts on an organization and chapter level;
  • Create and maintain marketing toolkits to promote certification to organizations, hospitals and other stakeholders;
  • Manage and publish certification-related podcasts and webinars, as well as other educational efforts around the promotion of certification;
  • Work with the CBIC committees on various projects/initiatives as needed;
  • Assist the Executive Director and CBIC Treasurer with development of annual marketing budget;
  • Provide backup for the Executive Director and Senior Program Manager when needed;
  • Assist with maintaining CBIC orientation manual for new board members;
  • Update New Board Orientation presentation schedule and PowerPoint slides annually;
  • Other duties as assigned.

AMOUNT OF TRAVEL REQUIRED: Approximately 5-6 weeks per year; some evening and weekend work may be required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 2-5 years professional experience in related field. Attention to detail, computer proficiency, outstanding organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lifting 20 – 30 lbs. may occasionally be required.
