The Communications Director performs work of considerable difficulty in planning, coordinating, and implementing a comprehensive strategic communications program for the Water Utility. This position serves on the Water Utility's management team and plays a key leadership role in supporting the Utility's mission, goals, and objectives.
The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, be self-directed, and possess strong leadership, problem solving, and decision making skills and abilities.
Duties include community building, outreach through media, management and administrative functions, and public inquiry and feedback.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and additional hours as required including attending evening meetings.
