WORKING WITH CLIENT ASSOCIATION: International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society (MDS)

POSITION REPORTS TO: Director of Communications and Membership, MDS

EMPLOYEE STATUS: Exempt

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Working with the Director of Communications and Membership, assist in managing MDS digital communications, and help initiate, develop, implement and evaluate digital marketing strategies related to the MDS strategic plan.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: (Minimum of 37.5 hours/week)

  • Under the leadership of the Director of Communications and Membership and Assistant Director of Communications, manage all aspects of MDS email marketing, including development of templates, creation of emails and automation campaigns, management of lists and reporting on outcomes of all initiatives.
  • Manage, in consultation with the Director of Communications and Membership, the development, publication and distribution of all International Congress and Regional Congress marketing materials;
  • Manage, in consultation with the Assistant Director of Communications, the development, publication and distribution of Live Education Course marketing materials.
  • Work with the Website Manager and other MDS Staff as needed to ensure that all web content is kept up to date;
  • Coordinate internal work order processes with EDI support services related to MDS marketing and communications efforts as needed;
  • Work with committees as needed to achieve objectives, including, but not limited to, development of reports, timelines, action plans, correspondence, and other presentation materials;
  • Communicate with related organizations, government agencies, printing and mailing vendors, as needed;
  • Other duties as assigned

AMOUNT OF TRAVEL REQUIRED: 

  • 1-3 weeks per year, and may include some international travel. 
  • Some early morning/evening and weekend work required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing or related field. 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • Oral, written and organizational skills essential. 
  • Knowledge of email marketing tools preferred. 
  • Proficient in Windows, MS Word and MS Excel. 
  • Experience with iMIS a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (example - lifting, packaging, etc.)

  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required.
