Driven by our mission to solve hunger and our vision of a hunger free Wisconsin, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is bringing more people together around the table to solve hunger. We are the leading hunger-relief organization in the state, operating food banks in Milwaukee and the Fox Valley. We are proud members of Feeding America, a national network of more than 200 food banks across the country, and the largest domestic hunger-relief agency here in the United States.

Together with our members, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin provides healthy and nutritious food to 400,000 people who are facing hunger each year. We are also leading collaborations with community partners to develop innovative solutions to improve the health of our communities.

Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin distributes more than 25 million pounds of healthy and nutritious food to 600+ members, including food pantries, meal programs and shelters throughout 36 counties in eastern Wisconsin. That equates to more than 21 million meals a year to nearly 400,000 people, including 124,000 children and 41,000 seniors.

This position can be based in Milwaukee or Little Chute, WI.

You will be instrumental in helping us tell the Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin (FAEW) story throughout our 36 county footprint in eastern Wisconsin. You will put your exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills to work to help raise awareness of hunger in our state as we work toward our vision of a hunger-free Wisconsin. You will help raise the visibility of the FAEW brand and establish the organization as the leading voice in hunger relief in Wisconsin.

  • Develop and implement a strategic marketing and communications plan to build positive brand awareness, understanding, and support of our mission.
  • Manage projects such as the annual report and printed quarterly newsletters.
  • Source, write and tell engaging stories for printed publications, press, website, and social media.
  • Ensure all designs, collateral materials and campaigns positively reflect the organization's brand and mission.
  • Serve as the external spokesperson for FAEW.
  • Oversee the expansion of our digital strategy.
  • Assist with the logistics and execution of campaigns and events.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, marketing or communications with a media relations emphasis
  • A minimum 3-5 years progressively responsible work in marketing, communications or public relations
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
  • The ability to work with individuals from diverse populations
  • Strong relationship building and networking skills
  • Excellent knowledge of the MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite desirable
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid Driver’s license, proof of insurance and transportation to support work activities
  • Ability to work occasional weekends and/or evenings as required for FAEW events
  • Ability to bend, twist, climb and reach above shoulders, kneel, squat, sit, and stand
  • Ability to see, talk and hear to exchange accurate information with internal and external individuals.
  • Ability to use keyboard, manipulate objects or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
