Job Description:

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this is a role for a passionate, social media-savvy communications professional that will oversee our public relations efforts as well as our overall social strategy. In this role you will apply expertise in various social media platforms as well as email marketing to drive traffic to our site and build brand awareness.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the company’s social media efforts, spanning 20+ profiles, and ensure that we are always staying in line with our brand voice 
  • Curate weekly newsletters for our audience of over 120,000 subscribers 
  • Manage Sprout Social account to moderate community comments, track outreach mentions, and edit social posts 
  • Research and develop working relationships with local micro influencers in our live markets for our “Meet My Neighborhood” campaign as well as other promotions 
  • Write and distribute press releases to announce major company news or awards blog posts 
  • Respond promptly to all outside press inquiries, providing quotes and interviews for link placement 
  • Seek out positive press for the company such as applying to “best workplace” awards, etc. 
  • Manage a small team of social media specialists

Qualifications:

  • A passion for social media platforms –– we need someone has their finger on the pulse of updates to Facebook, Twitter, and more. 
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills 
  • Ability to form and maintain meaningful relationships with media contacts 
  • Experience with email marketing campaigns (MailChimp and/or Pardot experience a plus) 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage a team 
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders 
  • A clear vision for branding and big picture social media strategy
