Boeing is seeking a Communications Specialist who is organized, self-directed and detail-oriented and who possesses exemplary writing and editing skills for a position on the Leadership Communications team.

This specialist will contribute to a range of internal and external communications projects in support of senior Boeing leadership, including remarks, videos, leadership messages, employee meetings, internal news articles, presentations, social media and web content. Critical thinking, creativity, problem solving, superior judgment, first-time quality and knowledge of communications best practices are essential. To succeed in this position, the preferred candidate also must be able to translate complex information into common terms; promote companywide strategic direction simply and clearly; and work comfortably and independently in a fast-paced, high-output environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Write, edit and proofread copy according to style guidelines to convey and tailor key messages to multiple audiences through a variety of media (messages, talking points, videos, social, etc.) in support of communications and business objectives
  • Prepare executive briefing materials, including talking points and presentations
  • Contribute to strategic communications plans
  • Work across organizations to organize and execute internal and external leadership engagements

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience producing, writing and editing communications deliverables
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Communications planning
  • Experience in internal, external or executive communications support

Typical Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
