catchfire is a Minneapolis-based ad agency. Whether it be print, web, mobile, video or motion graphics we believe in doing our best on every project. We’re looking for a Copywriter to help concept and write for video, print and online materials. Opportunities available for contract or full-time (contract to hire).

You’ll be expected to:

  • Digest strategy, then concept and develop original copy for marketing assets (member emails, banner ads, on-site placements, and more) in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
  • Create copy that is crisp, bold and engaging
  • Collaborate with Art Directors and Designers to ensure that the copy works visually and achieves overarching goals
  • Work closely with the marketing team to understand and convey our understanding of marketing goals and to ensure that they are achieved through balancing strong on-brand copy with hard-working calls-to-action
  • Receive and give constructive feedback on creative projects
  • Support the Copy Director by writing copy for other communications including blog entries, social media, and other writing projects as assigned

Required qualifications:

  • Solid, creative copywriting and concepting skills
  • Strong self-motivation
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to manage and meet deadlines
  • Strong collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at once, last minute requests and quick turnarounds
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and sarcasm
  • At least 2–5 years of relevant work experience in an agency or in-house creative group
  • B.A. in Advertising, Marketing, Communications or English
