We’re looking for an enthusiastic and results-driven corporate communications manager to join our team. The manager will develop and implement strategic communication programs, including media relations, social media and internal strategies that enhance the company’s reputation with internal and external stakeholders and help drive business objectives. This role requires a storyteller who can craft compelling communications and deliver impactful messaging – with a holistic point of view. The manager will own critical projects from design to implementation to results.

The corporate communications manager is responsible for strengthening CDK Global employee engagement through the creation, execution, and measurement of strategic associate communications. This position plays a key role in in supporting the head of corporate communications in delivering the overall communications strategy for CDK. This position will help create CDK brand ambassadors and support change management initiatives, internally, while also building and maintaining relationships with industry influencers and a global social presence that supports business priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop impactful innovative communication and messaging methods across geographies, business units and functions. 
  • Support and execute an internal communication strategy that educates and energizes employees on CDK’s strategic business objectives and brand pillars. 
  • Create, distribute and measure frequent, innovative and varied communications 
  • Proactively compose and issue press releases on a variety of topics. 
  • Develop and manage thought leadership initiatives – from content development to platform amplification. 
  • Test and optimize internal channels outside of email, including associate portal, video, social, meetings and new technology. 
  • Create executive communications and presentations. 
  • Interface with, and provide support for, various groups including Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Marketing, Finance, Product, R&D, and Leadership. 
  • Work with internal and external agency partners and marketing team members to ensure internal brand consistency across the company. 
  • Support crisis communications.

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree, plus 8-10 years of business communications, public relations, internal communications or integrated marketing communications experience; MBA or equivalent a plus 
  • Passion and spark for helping to create a winning CDK culture! 
  • Exceptional verbal communications, writing (AP Style), interviewing and editing skills 
  • Strong planning, project management and collaboration skills 
  • Experience in communicating to large, global, dispersed organization 
  • Skill at influencing leaders and executives across an organization 
  • Knowledge of varied communication delivery vehicles to reach both internal and external stakeholders, including social tools and platforms 
  • Prior corporate, public relations or business communications agency experience preferred 
  • Positive, driven and energetic team player; able to roll-up his/her sleeves to get the job done.
  • Strategic thinker and strong implementer. 
  • Enthusiastic and experienced champion of people-related processes – goal setting, performance management, personal/professional development and succession planning 
  • Proven ability to clearly and succinctly develop communications that will resonate with all stakeholders; leaders, employees, influencers.
  • Business acumen a plus. 
  • Proven ability to drive change in an organization to achieve business results
