Great Wolf Lodge is an icon in the family hospitality industry. As a complete family entertainment destination, Great Wolf Lodge features everything under one roof. The centerpiece of the resort is the massive indoor waterpark. At 84 degrees year-round, the waterpark is true weather-proof fun.

Great Wolf Lodge opened its first resort in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin in 1997 with 117 suites and 20,000 square feet of indoor water park space. With its early success, the company expanded capacity just two years later to offer 309 suites and 40,000 square feet of water park and in less than 10 years expanded to current capacity of 437 suites and 76,000 square feet of water park. Following the early success of this first Lodge, Great Wolf Resorts began to realize the potential of its fully integrated, branded family vacation experience by replicating in popular markets across North America.

Today Great Wolf operates 15 family entertainment resorts with its most recent opening in Bloomington, MN and currently has 3 additional lodges under development scheduled to open in the next 18 months. Great Wolf Resorts was purchased by Centerbridge Partners in 2015 and has plans to continue to add new resorts across the United States and to begin exploring international expansion.

Duties:

  • Willingness to accept the most effective role. 

Design Production:

  • Must have a graphic design portfolio that showcases a broad production and design skill set, while also demonstrating the ability to successfully build assets that carry a significant amount of detail. 

Primary function is to effectively execute the various production roles within the department and on specific projects. This can include but is not limited to responsibilities such as;

  • Final file print preparation 
  • Accurately creating multiple versions of a core creative asset 
  • Successfully executing a large volume of revisions to an asset with minimal oversight 
  • Rebuild concept art to print ready files
  • Asset management 
  • Meta tagging 
  • Archiving assets and photos 
  • Re-sizing assets and photos 
  • Building style-sheets and maintaining standards 
  • Comfortable working in a very fast paced environment 
  • Must be adept at extending an established brand standards and voice from one piece to various others. 

Work Style:

  • Positive attitude and an open mind is a must. 
  • Must be team-oriented: Effective day to day collaboration with all members of GWR's in-house creative team as well as Corporate Marketing and other department/property teams as needed. 
  • Collaborating with the Creative Services Traffic Manager to prioritize projects and work load for all team members, to best meet critical deadlines.
  • Well organized, accurate and self-motivated. 
  • Must have a high attention to details and accuracy 
  • Able to manage multiple projects, under tight deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude. 
  • Able to work independently with little supervision. 

Communication:

  • Candidate at times will interact with 3rd party agencies including advertising/marketing agencies, GWR marketing partners, vendors, and others to fulfill needs for the betterment of the brand. 
  • GWR Properties -- While the majority of the communication in and out of the department flows through the Creative Services Traffic Manager, at times, this position requires direct dialogue with external stakeholders in order to deliver the best possible end product. 
  • It is expected that candidate will quickly develop knowledge of each property's nuances and how it relates to creative assets.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Associates degree in Graphic Design or similar discipline. 5+ years of professional design experience a plus. 

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in the Mac platform, as well as in the most recent Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat). Also general knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. 
  • Ability to quickly master a Digital Asset Management system, including uploading and assigning meta data to assets. 
  • Up-to-date knowledge of widely used Internet-based services such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram. 
  • Demonstrates a record of protecting organization's value by keeping information confidential. 
  • Experience in Illustration, Sketch-up, Wayfinding or Photography a plus. 
  • Knowledge of Hotel, Lodging, Entertainment or Amusement industries a plus.
