Strategizes initiates, leads and implements a wide range of targeted, multichannel Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) marketing campaigns to deliver positive, measureable results improving the acquisition, retention and growth of donors.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for CRM campaign development, targeting, design, copy, implementation and tracking of multiple CRM campaigns. Plays a lead role in the creation of long-term marketing automation road mapping; helping define business requirements, determine scope, prioritize CRM enhancement projects and coordinate implementation.
  • Works closely with the internal stakeholders and vendors acting as the day-to-day contact, ensuring clear communication, project prior prioritization, and resource management resulting in a proactive, well-respected relationship.
  • Acts as the primary system administrator for key CRM programs and technology.
  • Analyzes key performance indicators to continually optimize marketing tactics, evaluating components of each campaign, including lists, offer, messaging, open rates, click through rates and conversions. Embraces a test-and-learn and champion-challenger methodology to continually improve effectiveness.
  • Participates in the ongoing development and implementation of Bethesda’s prospect and donor contact strategy to fully capture and respect donor preferences for Bethesda communications.
  • Directs, creates and manages campaigns and programs with measurable strategies to improve engagement over the donor lifetime cycle or journey experience. Ensures that all campaigns and programs are launched on time, on budget and delivered with outstanding quality and accuracy.
  • Facilities customer acquisition, conversion, cross-selling and retention through multiple consumer contact channels, while capitalizing on our consumer website, weborms and Bethesda portal.
  • Works closely with philanthropy leads to identify prospect and donor segments with the greatest potential for revenue growth and continuously evaluate behaviors to most effectively offer and market donor opportunities to target audiences.
  • Develops and maintains a quarterly CRM campaign calendar; provides monthly tracking reports to leadership.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field. 7 years of experience in direct marketing, CRM, or 1x1 marketing with an emphasis on digital channels.
  • Must have positive, highly collaborative, supportive and interactive approach to work teams, and colleagues, along with ability to concept, initiative and lead teams.
  • Demonstrate project management skills for coordinated on-time delivery, excellent quality, and timely and effective internal communications with all related teams. Highly organized and detail orientated, yet flexible, creative and innovative for objective-based problem solving.
  • Significant experience leading, designing and implementation CRM and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop tactics to support business objectives and engage appropriate audiences.
  • Skills in creating marketing and general communication plans reflecting brand strategy, customer experience, lifestage strategies, product life cycles, research and analysis, environmental and competitive analysis, positions, targeting, planning and implementation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to delivery effective presentations and written materials.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Work, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar products, plus existing or developing expertise in CRM platforms.
