The Digital Content and Social Media Intern is responsible for helping to create useful, engaging, interesting and branded content for use on NMH social media channels. This is a paid, casual part-time internship (20-30 hours per week as needed), with variable working hours between 8 AM and 5 PM, Monday-Friday, during the Fall 2018 Semester.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and manage content calendar.
  • Editing graphics / graphic creation inside of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Working closely with marketing team members to assist in various content creation needs.
  • Social media monitoring and event support.
  • Writing content for use on social media and other marketing owned channels.
  • Various project management duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong writing skills.
  • Exceptional reliability, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Potential candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate college program.
  • Demonstrated digital or social media experience within their college program (required)
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.)
  • Knowledge of graphic editing software is a required (ex. Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, etc.)
  • Attention to detail and a desire to improve and succeed

Education:

  • High School course work required; diploma preferred.
  • Currently enrolled in or graduated from a Communications or Marketing or related post-secondary education program required
