The Digital Content Specialist will be responsible for creating content for web, social media and other online accounts. This position will also provide strategic recommendations to programs/services while advancing the agency’s trauma informed care reputation. The Digital Content Specialist position reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and follow a strategic content management plan to maintain social media and website activity for the Agency
  • Use best practices and the most up-to-date trends to: develop and maintain website content by optimizing the website for search engine rankings, monitoring and analyzing traffic and create and maintain online advertising for the Agency primarily through Facebook ads and Google Adwords
  • Provide consultation, support and execute social media and website endeavors in collaboration with the Design and Brand Specialist, administration, division directors and program staff
  • Create videos and record audio clips, take photographs, and concept infographics and interactive features
  • Assist with media relations
Requirements:
  • Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, digital marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Knowledge of Creative Suite and Microsoft Office in a Mac environment desired
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative, deadline driven environment
  • Familiarity with Mailchimp or similar email marketing software preferred
  • Proven experience in website management and an understanding of HTML coding and Google Analytics
  • Wordpress developer experience; familiarity with WP engine and online donation applications (DonorSnap or NetworkForGood) preferred
  • Proven ability to tell compelling stories online and in social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn)
  • Experience managing social media business accounts, online management skills is a plus
  • Content creation (photography and video production skills, iMovie and video editing software preferred
  • Ability to create and optimize digital advertising campaigns on Facebook and Google Adwords
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, as well as strong project management skills
