We are looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to play an instrumental role in developing and executing compelling brand strategies designed to increase engagement and grow overall awareness of AUSL. As a member of the External Affairs team and under the leadership of the Associate Director of Marketing & Communications, the Digital Marketing Manager will not only have a passion for improving the educational outcomes for the students we serve, s/he will be excited to contribute across various departments and provide marketing/communications support. As the expert in digital marketing, the manager is responsible for planning and executing AUSL's integrated digital marketing campaigns and overall digital strategy across all channels - including social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.), paid search and search engine marketing, email marketing, and search engine optimization.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Digital Marketing

  • Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns (web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, videos, display advertising) supporting AUSL that will resonate with key audiences
  • Compile, analyze and distribute metrics and data to track performance against goals (engagement, traffic, interactions, growth, conversions, etc.); identify and analyze trends and insights to improve performance
  • Stay up-to-date with trends and best practices in digital marketing and evaluate emerging technologies and growth opportunities

Social Media Marketing

  • Promote AUSL across all social media channels (including responding to community members timely and appropriately)
  • Create ways to grow and develop digital presence of AUSL and Chicago Teacher Residency
  • Manage event social marketing strategy

Content Strategy

  • Ensure content is consistent with our brand voice, style and tone,
  • Create engaging and compelling content to build brand awareness and create demand for the Chicago Teacher Residency

Graphic Design

  • Produce basic graphics for use on web
  • Assist in print collateral development

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, English, marketing, or related field and minimum three years experience. 
  • Excellent writing skills 
  • Strong Wordpress, MailChimp, and Social Media skills 
  • Strong Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator skills 
  • Experience in database marketing preferred

Reporting Relationship:

  • Will report to the Associate Director, Marketing & Communications
