As a Digital Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing website projects, maintaining project schedules and coordinating production team resources using an agile process. In other words, you’re a people person at heart, a motivator—one who just happens to have a deep understanding of web-design standards and project-management methodology. You’re unflappable, able to work on a retargeting campaign for fertilizer one minute, a microsite for a global computing company the next—and then pitch in on print, social media, public relations, content development and video projects as needed. Thanks to your easy rapport with team members and can-do attitude, you contribute to the success of all projects by ensuring smooth creation and delivery of work efforts. You’re a bona fide subject matter expert on any project you touch, the go-to person for questions on scope, progress, scheduling, personnel, budget and everything in between. Problem solving and critical thinking skills along with the ability to build and foster relationships based on trust and honesty is critical to the success of this position.
You’ll be a success in this position because you know organization and inspiration are not mutually exclusive. You’re able to see the big picture while keeping meticulous tabs on the small details, which lets you ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the client’s satisfaction.
