Director of Development and Community Engagement

Creative Community Living Services and Creative Living Environments – Watertown, WI

Are you looking for a career that makes a difference? Would you like to say, “…with my job I change lives?” You can – through fundraising, development activities, and forging new relationships to build the visibility of the Wisconsin based 501c3 Creative Community Living Services (CCLS) and Creative Living Environments (CLE).

With CCLS we provide compassionate care with a variety of services to those that are developmentally disabled, so they may live the most independent life they can. With CLE we serve the frail and elderly with tender loving care. The company has a total of 500+ employees serving 600+ clients throughout Wisconsin.

This position is a critical new position for enhancing our revenue. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit to take this ground-floor opportunity to build this new department. Do you have experience with fundraisers, promotional campaigns and community engagement events? Have you developed engagement strategies and handled significant corporate gifts? Are you willing to travel throughout the state to develop these new connections? Then this may be the position for you.

We are looking for someone who has the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, non-profit management, marketing or related field 
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in development activities including grants, donor relations, annual campaigns and planned-giving 
  • Experience attracting major gifts 
  • A sincere interest in those we serve, the developmentally disabled, frail and elderly.

Due to the sensitive nature of our business successful candidates are required to have an acceptable credit check, caregiver background check, pre-placement drug screen and a valid driver's license, insurance and access to a vehicle.
