Director of Development

ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis

ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis is committed to nurturing hope and restoring confidence in all those affected by breast cancer, from the newly diagnosed to those in treatment and beyond.

Our signature service is matching professionally trained volunteer breast cancer survivors (Mentors) with patients, families and friends (Participants) who need support. These highly personalized connections are created based on a person’s priorities and life stage as well as specific diagnosis and treatment plan.

Impacting Lives. Impacting our Community.

ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis plays a unique role in the healthcare community. A breast cancer diagnosis is life altering. Many people in our community have personally experienced life as a breast cancer patient/survivor while others have been a supportive family member, friend or colleague. We understand that a breast cancer diagnosis turns a world upside down, with information overload and decisions that need to be made, in addition to the emotional and physical impact.

That's where ABCD comes in. We provide free, personalized information and one-to-one support to all those affected by breast cancer, from the newly diagnosed to those in treatment and on into survivorship. Our signature service is matching professionally trained, volunteer breast cancer survivors (“Mentors”) with patients, families and friends (“Participants”) who need support. These highly personalized connections are created based on a person’s priorities and life stage as well as specific diagnosis and treatment plan. Mentors provide understanding non-clinical support and guidance as only they can do. Individually, ABCD Mentors impact lives one at a time. Collectively, ABCD impacts our whole community.

This is where you come in. ABCD is growing! As we implement our strategic vision, more and more people are seeking our services. In order to meet growing demand, we are looking for the right person to join our team and grow our philanthropic base.
