Receive valuable experience working in a fun, fast-paced, professional development office as a member of our team! Assist Events Foundation staff with planning certain components of events; including Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk, Community Events, and other duties as assigned.

Assists in event prep for Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk. Project includes development of written materials, soliciting participation, coordinating mailings, securing in kind donations and securing Health & Fitness Fair vendors in addition to Route Entertainment during the event. Assists events coordinator in various projects related to Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk including signage needs, event supplies and other duties as assigned.

Coordinates all logistics that come with Community Events including development of promotional materials, soliciting participation, and other duties as assigned.

This internship will run May - September

(Must be present at the Briggs & Al's Run & Walk on September 14, 2019)

  • An interest in event fundraising 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Creativity/Enthusiasm 
  • Organizational skills - Ability to manage time and meeting numerous deadlines 
  • Interpersonal skills - will work with volunteers and staff 
  • Computer use- limited desktop publishing work and proficient understanding in Microsoft programs. 
  • Car for local travel, minimal. (Mileage will be reimbursed) 
  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 40 lbs.

Unpaid internship, minimum of 16 hours a week (will provide evaluations and/or documentation for class credit(s) if applicable - applicants to ask their college/university if that’s an option for them).  This internship will run May - September.
