We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Field Marketing Manager to join our Commercial Trane business. You will manage local sponsorships and advertising, demand generation, sales enablement, and the creation of marketing programs for new business growth and customer retention. The Field Marketing Manager understands the market’s business challenges and helps to develop andexecute effective marketing plans. This job provides vision, leadership and strategic guidance in developing and implementing marketing strategies that support business objectives.

Your ability to adapt to changing priorities, collaborate across functions and teams, and continuously acquire new skills and apply the learnings make you the perfect team member for our field marketing organization.

Key responsibilities and activities:

  • Serves as a strategic partner with the district general managers, sales managers and leadership within their region 
  • Identifies gaps, trends and influences that exist within the Market and recommends sound and actionable solutions 
  • Leverages market intelligence, customer insights and competitive landscape to aid in making strategic decisions 
  • Manages all elements of marketing strategy, including research, budget, planning, execution and reporting to analyze the impact. 
  • Serves as a brand champion a single district 
  • Actively monitors the execution of the strategy and identifies when there is a need to change or adjust plans 
  • Earns a high level of credibility within the Market they serve. 
  • Owns the successful design of marketing plans incorporating the full range of marketing resources and distribution channels. 
  • Determines and acts on long term marketing and Customer strategies to ensure they are effectively supporting the Market's business needs. 
  • Pursues, develops, implements and evaluates community partnerships, marketing sponsorships and sales promotions. 
  • Supports local industry, customer, and association events. 
  • Serves as the primary contact for industry organizations.
  • Identifies the need for district specific sales materials and works with the greater marketing organization to deliver upon these needs. 
  • Acts as liaison between corporate marketing and the field; is the face of marketing to the field sales teams, and conversely communicates the needs of the field back to marketing. 
  • Measures ROI for all activities and identifies areas for continual improvement; develops and executes campaign performance reporting to be shared across the sales and marketing teams 
  • Works with North America marketing on local messaging 
  • Ensures that key customer successes are communicated and converted to references and case studies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business or related field
  • 10+ years related experience required.
  • Advanced degree in marketing a plus. MBA preferred.
  • Ability to analyze data and build business plans to drive investments 
  • Experience in managing medium to large projects including meeting deadlines and staying with budget. 
  • Experience and understanding of marketing techniques, advertising and creative methods. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sales development strategies and tactics. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Knowledge of Tableau, SFDC, IBM Watson, Adobe Experience Manager a plus 
  • Working knowledge of lead management, marketing automation and pipeline management 
  • Proven organization, presentation and communication skills. 
  • Proven creative ability and resourcefulness in generating new ideas and solving problems. 
  • Proven collaborative skills to build and maintain proactive involvement with all levels of staff and community members. 
  • Results oriented with the ability to identify, prioritize and deliver on objectives using sound business practices 
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills that foster teamwork 
  • Ability to grasp complex technical systems 
  • Knowledge of the HVAC or energy market preferred 
  • Travel 10-25% of the time. Some overnights required.
