Freelance Packaging Designer (Structural)

• Create packaging prototypes for approval 
• Design of simple and complex packaging structures 
• Work closely with Sourcing, Product, Marketing & Retail teams to understand the product and merchandising needs 
• Collaborate with in-house graphic design team to ensure product packaging is fully functional and follows necessary brand guidelines 
• Competency in designing with a variety of materials 
• Knowledge of common packaging machines/manufacturing processes 
• Good understanding of package testing parameters 
• Ability to work independently, self-motivated with great problem-solving skills 
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. 
• Seeks feedback to improve performance. 
• Keeps others adequately informed; selects and uses appropriate communication methods.
• Writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style to meet needs; able to read and interpret written information.

• Availability to attend in person client meeting in Gurnee approximately once per week
• Freelancer  should have knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite , CAD, Solidworks Design software.
• Equipment and software will not be provided by company.
