Job Summary:

3M’s Personal Safety Division has an exciting opportunity for a Global Digital Experience & Capabilities Specialist to lead development of user experience and platform capabilities to grow our business through expanded reach and delivery. Millions of industrial customers rely on our manufactured products, training, and services to keep workers safe and productive on the job. With an ever-widening portfolio of personal protective products, and expanding global markets, the ability to effectively search, navigate, compare, choose and repurchase products and services is a customer expectation, not a bonus.

Working in collaboration with PSD Product and Portfolio Managers, IT, Corporate Marketing & Sales and other functions, you will be charged with developing customer-centric website experiences for search, navigation, engagement, and access capabilities needed to delight a wide range of digital customers who explore, utilize, and share our Global PSD Website resources to help manage their worker health & safety programs.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide strategy, develop, and lead product & technology platform development by partnering across PSD Segment and Product Marketing leaders, Experience Leaders, Content Development, and cross-functional global stakeholders
  • Develop digital capabilities and web-native tools to optimize website engagement and digital deliverables for PSD products, services and subscriptions. 
  • Serve as the primary liaison across corporate marketing teams and business group to define, drive, and optimize digital capabilities that enable world-class customer experience in search, navigation, and engagement 
  • Partner with Global Product Marketing Operations team to prioritize, implement, mobilize, and maintain digital experiences & capabilities across global owned platforms 
  • Develop and share scalable best practices and drive execution and implementation of digital experience and tools across the customer journey including:, Where to Buy (Distribution Channel), Search (Paid and Organic), Mobile & Productivity apps, Marketing Automation and Channel Partner Digital Engagement Partner closely with global subsidiaries and DRCs to drive replication, quality assurance, and updates of portfolio and segment experiences 
  • As a leader on the PSD Digital Experience team, you will also be responsible for coaching, mentoring, inspiring, and elevating customer-first digital development for commercialization impact. You will push boundaries through innovative thinking, collaboration with other digital experience leaders, persistency, and determination during project challenges with a strong focus on performance and results.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution 
  • Minimum of six (6) combined years of digital marketing, web development, and/or applications development in aprivate, public, government, or military environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong Website and/or Applications Development and deployment experience (ten years or more) 
  • Ability to translate business needs and user data into actionable experience development products. 
  • Experience with FUZE, Endeca, SAP Hybris,, Adobe, Axure, and/or Oracle Content Platforms a big plus 
  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to laisse across multiple departments within the organization including marketing, sales, legal counsel, and database management in a collaborative, focused manner 
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills - track record of ideating new capabilities, identifying and solving for user/website performance issues, sales & marketing gaps, or low conversion rates 
  • Strong project management/organizational skills – ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple programs 
  • Results oriented – experience using qualitative and quantitative metrics to inform, manage and successfully execute programs to drive revenue, conversion, sales and improved user experience 
  • Dedicated team player – ability to share communications and project updates in agile working environments and teams, ability to give and receive works delegation
