Were seeking a new member for the McDonalds Global Executive & Internal Communications team who will help build on this success, acting as an internal journalist and storyteller who will share our vision and help our colleagues recognize our progress. Principle responsibilities include but are not limited to:

General:

  • Manage multiple project work streams concurrently, identifying and elevating integration opportunities and roadblocks to ensure effective communications across GSCS. 
  • Develop processes and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness of communications channels that promote an open and transparent environment. 
  • Collaborate with Executive Communications Manager and Corporate Relations team to ensure GSCSs internal and external messages are aligned with McDonalds growth strategy. 
  • Partner with creative design teams to prepare infographics, presentations, videos and other multimedia content. 
  • Regularly update and maintain employee and supplier email distribution lists. 
  • Measure and report on success of executed communications, and utilize data and other insights to drive greater effectiveness in the future.

Internal Communications:

  • Manage use and maintenance of internal communications channels (e.g. SharePoint, Yammer, intranet, etc.). 
  • Contribute and coordinate content from subject matter experts/content coordinators for GSCS employee communications vehicles (e.g. monthly employee communication, leadership messages).

Market Communication:

  • Provide strategic communications counsel and support to global and market teams on message development and deployment.

Supplier Communication:

  • Plan, design and edit quarterlynewsletter to McDonalds suppliers

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Public Relations, Human Resources, Business and/or related field. 
  • 5+ years of experience in Corporate Communications or Public Relations (agency experience a plus). 
  • 3+ years of experience working in a large/multi-national company. 
  • Global experience a plus 
  • Ability to write quickly on a deadline 
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills 
  • Detail oriented

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PR or Communications agency professional lookinga definite plus 
  • Is a team player, participates in the decision making process, supports company decisions and is an advocate of the brand. 
  • Experience working cross-culturally and cross-functionally. 
  • Actively develops stakeholder relationships. 
  • Understands the role of communication in driving employee alignment and engagement, and in shaping culture 
  • Experience working with global, multi-year communication initiatives 
  • Understands strategic audience segmentation, leveraging channels and multi-media to reach audiences with appropriate messages and applying brand, voice, and style elements when producing pieces. 
  • Able to recommend distribution channels that reach the intended audience. 
  • Experience developing and implementing communication strategies in complex organizations and to develop internal communication solutions targeted to different audience segments/needs. 
  • Strong business acumen and a good understanding of business strategy with an ability to lead and influence. 
  • Experience working with all levels of management and staff. 
  • Excellent writing skills. 
  • Skilled in developing video concepts and working with creative teams for producing and distributing content. 
  • Demonstrated experience in utilizing a wide variety of communications tactics. 
  • Strong presentation skills. 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to deliver on multiple priorities. 
  • Ability to rapidly shift gears and accommodate changes and incorporate new information with minimal disruption. 
  • Experience working with flexibility, efficiency and diplomacy both individually and as part of a complex team effort. 
  • Collaboration, facilitation and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining precise attention to detail, upholding high standards of excellence and always meeting deadlines.
