Michael Best is seeking a Graphic Designer to join the Marketing & Business Development in our Milwaukee office team for four months. This part-time position will be 24-30 hours per week and will report to the Graphic Designer Lead to conceptualize and develop designs for advertisements and event invitations. This is a great opportunity to work in a professional services environment while collaborating with creative people.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Conceptualize and develop designs for advertisements and event invitations
  • Update and maintain brochures, posters, and printed promotional materials
  • Retouching and sizing of portraits and other stock photography
  • Researching and selecting stock photography
  • Photography of internal events
  • Communicate with external vendors for submitting artwork files or working through the process of printed materials
  • Management of all creative files, including distributing, organizing, and archiving
  • Format and enhance presentations
  • Supporting all firm-wide internal graphic design needs

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics:

  • Portfolio showing a diverse level of design
  • Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)
  • Proven project management skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Exceptional visual design/layout and creative thinking
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Basic proofreading and review skills are required
  • Ability to collaborate with key internal and external clients

Preferred but not mandatory:

  • In-house design
  • Professional services (legal, financial, accounting, etc.) industry experience
  • Marketing background

Education:

  • A degree in graphic design, within final year of completing graphic design program, or three years of professional design in a corporate or agency setting

$18-22/hr.
