The Creative Services group is responsible for communicating S&C’s solutions simply and powerfully to customers, key contributors, and the industry at large.

The Graphic Designer reports to the Manager – Creative Services as part of the Creative Services Team at S&C. They work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams throughout the company in the development of effective marketing materials for customers. The Graphic Designer creates compelling creative artwork, layouts, and templates for advertising, printed and electronic media, brochures, instructional documentation, corporate presentations and large format pieces."

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Design and production of graphics, long-form publications, print and digital advertising, marketing collateral and other marketing materials utilizing clean layouts and typography. 
  • Ensures projects are designed within graphic guidelines for brand consistency. 
  • Project manages job from concept to completion with limited supervision. 
  • Prioritizes and efficiently manages day to day work while updating project management tools in union with ongoing jobs. 
  • Works collaboratively with members of Creative Services, Editorial, Product Management and other appropriate parties to develop smart design solutions. 
  • Communicates with team members across departments with ability to look at problems from different points of view. 
  • Effectively translates technical information into clear messaging for non-technical audiences. 
  • Sets clear expectations with customers to define scope, schedule, and goals for projects. 
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and offer solutions, including execution of annual projects and goals. 
  • Draws on past experience and insights of fellow team members to find solutions. 
  • Seeks out additional information when relevant with ability to value collective insights. 
  • Manage in-house and outside vendors for pre-press and print review of marketing materials.

To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree (ideally in Graphic Design or similar studies) 
  • Three years relevant work experience; within a company or agency preferred 
  • Strong written, verbal communication and problem-solving skills 
  • Clear intra-discipline understanding of graphic design for print and digital, across web, video, and traditional print. 
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) plus a working knowledge of Adobe Edge. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook)

MAJOR PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Work environment is a regular office environment within a manufacturing environment.
