Graphic Designer
Job
Full-time
9/25/2018
Northern Illinois
Burr Ridge, IL

If you’re a rising star in the world of graphic design, with a collaborative spirit and a passion for turning words, ideas and numbers into engaging visual designs, then you might be the perfect candidate for the position of graphic designer on our corporate marketing team.

About the role:

As part of our corporate marketing team, you’ll produce infographics, social graphics, digital assets, ebooks, interactive content tools, videos, PowerPoint decks and other assets that explain who we are, and (if we may just pat ourselves on the back) why we rock. Your eye for detail will come in handy as you handle projects from start to finish, with input from the marketing team and the creative team. You’ll be our visual liaison, helping project our brand to the outside world.

You’ll also play a vital role supporting our sales team, who will look to you for help on the design and production of the materials that help bring in new business. If you’ve never experienced what it’s like to be part of a winning pitch, you’ve been missing out on the best part of agency life. This position will give you a chance to be a part of it, as you create the sales literature, PowerPoint presentations and proposals that aid the team in making the sale.

We're looking for an independent thinker who has the poise under pressure to work with senior leadership, and someone who takes pride in organizing data into meaningful chunks no matter what platform you’re working in. If that's you, The Mx Group wants to provide you with mentors who can help you sharpen your skills, and a collaborative agency environment that makes youwantto come to work each day.

What we’re looking for:

  • 2-4 years of professional design experience with an agency or in-house creative department
  • Outstanding print and web/digital design capabilities
  • Strong knowledge and experience working in Adobe Creative Suite and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Capacity to multi-task under tight deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Willingness to observe, learn and take direction, as well as to work independently when needed
  • Dedication to going the extra mile to create great work

Why you’ll love working here:

In a word: people. In a broader sense: company culture. And some pretty sweet benefits, too.

At The Mx Group, you’ll find we genuinely value and support each other — as people and as coworkers — as we produce award-winning work together. You aren’t likely to find another team so focused on collaboration and so dedicated to success.

We’re proud of the environment that we’ve nurtured, and because of that, we’re always looking for new ways to brighten up our team’s work day. We’re more into lunchtime board games than drama, and we don’t mind throwing in a chili cook-off or a bags tournament here and there. We’ll celebrate the start of Friday summer hours together, and enjoy a week off at the end of each year.

Plus, we offer a full benefits package, including gym membership reimbursement, paid parental leave, medical/dental/vision insurance and a 401(k) program. In short, you’re going to love coming to work.
