Ahern, one of the leading mechanical and fire protection contractors in the United States, has an exciting opportunity for an Internal Communications Specialist with our Human Resources Team working out of our Fond du Lacoffice. Showcase your creative ability to develop and execute innovative communications plans throughout the organization by sourcing, writing, and publishing content in various media formats for our internal communication platform. You will align and engage our employees around our purpose, priorities, and core values through your communications and ownership of the communication platform. This position will focus on internal employee communications, employee engagement including non-monetary rewards and recognition, recruitment marketing to maintain a consistent employer brand, and promotion of events and company achievements. You will work alongside team members within the office and field to engage and connect all employees while providing top-notch customer service. You will be challenged and given the tools and resources to excel beyond your expectations in our team-oriented environment.

Ahern will make the most of your Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field. Two to three years of prior experience in a related field is required. You can stand out above other candidates by having experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite and web site content management systems. Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment. Being able to execute tasks with a great amount of detail while also understanding the big picture will be instrumental in your success. Making decisions independently, having in depth problem-solving skills, and good time management skills will all be necessary in this position.
