Under the direction of the International Marketing Program Manager, works with program staff to provide project coordination oversight in implementing international marketing programs and services for Food Export Association of the Midwest USA (Food Export – Midwest). The incumbent will be responsible for the successful implementation of the assigned programs and services through advance planning, coordinating resources, collecting and reviewing data and analyzing financial and program results. Communicates broadly within the organization to keep supervisor and program staff apprised of status on projects. Maintains a positive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that gets along with members, clients, co‐workers and supervisor.

Key Result Areas:

Provides project coordination oversight as part of the implementation of international marketing programs and services.

  • Serves as a point of contact for member state and/or contracted domestic coordinators and international in‐market representatives with planning and implementing programs in a prompt and accurate manner from the planning process to the implementation and post‐activity follow‐up. 
  • Accurately manages activities’ status in the database including activity set‐up, monitor registration accuracy and review financial and results integrity. 
  • Provides coordination and support to the International Marketing Program Manager on large projects including annual application for funding, final reporting of program results for various meetings and presentations as needed. 
  • Collaborates with Communications Program Area on finding participant success stories through the observations made on evaluations.

Provides data analysis, budget and expenses tracking; and event close out reporting to internal and external International Marketing Program staff.

  • Coordinates the processing of invoices and expense reports, etc. in accordance with Food Export and the International Marketing Program policy. 
  • Generates, creates, and designs reports and presentations regarding company participation, evaluation, budgeting and related data for the International Marketing Program Manager, other Food Export staff, FAS, and member states, through regular and consistent correspondence. 
  • Tracks and analyze program’s performance, expenditures, and report about any possible or current blockers, risks or changes on expected outcomes. 
  • Assess activities on an ongoing basis to determine cost effectiveness and be able to identify what areas drive the best results for the International Marketing Program.

Assists in the administration of the International Marketing Program aimed at aiding small U.S. suppliers of food and agricultural with exporting.

  • Offers on‐going activity support to International Marketing Program Manager, including well‐maintained files and records on contractor selection and contractor agreements. 
  • Prepares and disseminates correspondence and briefing materials as directed by the International Marketing Program Manager. 
  • Responds to inquiries within stated timeframes established by the International Marketing Program Manager. 
  • Maintains accurate and updated company data from International Marketing Program participant registrations. Ensures that procedures for program operations are maintained and kept current throughout the year.

Education:

Four year college degree in a related field.

Work Experience (highly preferred):

2+ years of work experience in a related field, such as grant administration, nonprofit program coordination, event coordination, international marketing, marketing administration, customer service, international trade, food, or agriculture.

Core Competencies:

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, customer service oriented, must be proficient with MS Office, attention to detail and accuracy, time management skills and the ability to prioritize work, strong ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently, strong ability to multi‐task and coordinate multiple priorities simultaneously, general knowledge and understanding of international marketing, self‐motivated, a self‐starter, and effective presentation skills. Ability to communicate and build relationships with people from a variety of backgrounds and responsibility levels.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Work is performed in a standard office environment. This position requires light duty physical work, conducting general office duties, participation in trade shows, and market promotions, Requirements include carrying multiple files and printed materials. Out-of-office travel to domestic and international locations is up to 25%.
