PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develop and deliver the annual employee engagement and internal communications strategy, with the goals of promoting business literacy; increasing brand awareness, understanding and affiliation; and inspiring employee engagement across the company 
  • Partners with IT to identify, use, and integrate technology that will increase the effectiveness and timeliness of internal communications 
  • Oversees content compilation of internal communication vehicles, including intranet, e-mail announcements, newsletters, webcasts/podcasts, meetings (Town Hall) and presentations 
  • Develops an understanding of cross-functional subject matters and delivers news and information to all areas of the business 
  • Identifies and analyzes business and audience needs to deliver messages via the most appropriate mix of media and channels 
  • Develops training and templates to help leaders manage communications and facilitate dialogue with business partners and employees 
  • Facilitates two-way communication and feedback sharing between executives and employees and sets up and manages an employee “listening” system 
  • Ensures internal communications’ consistency and effectiveness by creating effective internal communication processes and guidelines 
  • Develops measurement criteria and processes that effectively evaluate internal communications programs 
  • Establishes and tracks metrics that help correlate internal communications programs to employee productivity and organization performance 
  • Supports change communications including organizational restructuring

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field 
  • 5-7 years marketing or communications experience required 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple demanding initiatives concurrently, balancing multiple priorities, working with minimal supervision and meeting deadlines 
  • Experience in developing and executing company-wide employee communications strategies and programs helpful 
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing intranets, Social Media, video and/or other technological communication tools and methodologies 
  • Proven experience developing and growing internal communications platforms and strategies 
  • Strong background and proven experience in change management preferred 
  • Engagement survey experience preferred 
  • Ability to thrive in chaotic environment with many unknowns and changing objectives 
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills 
  • Ability to work in a multi-time zone environment 
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, including internationally 
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
