In this role you would support market research and activities for blood donor recruitment throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest. This role will distill large industry, market, and financial data into actionable information that will be translated into solutions and strategies. The Marketing Analyst will work in conjunction with the PR & Community Engagement Specialist to ensure CBC is an active and strategic part of the community. This role will compile, analyze and present written reports, presentations and financial models, as well as KPI and ROI statistics, with an emphasis on displaying data in a manner that is most impactful to make decisions or tell a compelling story. This individual will have significant influence around future trends, as well as how our organization must adapt within an ever-changing market.

The Marketing Analyst has a wide range of responsibilities, including:

  • Conduct market research to identify donor demographics, habits, trends, and competitor tactics in order to apply this information to marketing tactics and strategies. 
  • Research the blood donor market to identify opportunities and actionable information to expand or increase blood drive and donor center participation. 
  • Analyze potential markets for growth to identify opportunities and actionable information to expand sources of blood donors and blood collection. 
  • Set and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of CBC marketing, advertising, and communications programs and strategies (including engagement, reach, referral traffic, etc.), provide analysis, and recommend and implement the corresponding changes to tactics or strategies. 
  • Utilize methods for collecting data such as surveys and polls, and obtain existing data/facts from the CBC database. 
  • Analyze marketing data to provide input into future marketing strategies and promotions. Regularly audit each channel to maximize performance and improve social strategy in alignment with CBC’s goals. 
  • Set up and manage source codes to track digital campaign performance across all channels to ensure proper data collection for reporting and channel/tactic effectiveness. 
  • Track and monitor performance and analytics for all projects to continually improve messaging and content, and leverage report data to identify trends and insights to achieve maximum ROI 
  • Provide analysis of website traffic 
  • Design reports/dashboards using Google Analytics and other programs 
  • Grow organic and paid website traffic and leads from target audiences 
  • Donor Retention & Recruitment 
  • Analyze the geographical markets of The Community Blood Center to identify prospective new blood drive locations and blood drive accounts for potential growth in participation 
  • Conduct ongoing analysis into the current and potential blood donor base to identify methods to increase the CBC donor base, first-time donors, and donor retention. 
  • Special Events 
  • Support community awareness initiatives by assisting in the planning and execution of community relations activities and special events. 
  • Analyze previous event results to ensure growth and improvement where applicable 
  • Assist in special event planning, set-up, day-of execution, take down, and other duties as needed. 
  • Collect, track, and analyze donor numbers and sales leads generated by each event 
  • Maintain confidentiality of CBC, donor, and patient information at all times. Comply with all policies and procedures as outlined in the CBC Employee Handbook, CBC SOPs or directives. Maintains current level of job-related skills by attending in-services, training sessions, and reading publications.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing/marketing research, public relations, communications, business administration or related field.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 4+ years of professional experience in communications, marketing, or related field 
  • 4+ years' experience in SEO, research and analytics Experience contributing professional work within an established brand voice. 
  • Experience gathering and using analytics and metrics 
  • Experience in managing multiple projects effectively and within set timeframes and to prioritize competing demands.

SKILLS:

  • Strong passion to identify and solve real business problems using data and analytics
  • Proficient, in-depth knowledge and understanding of social medial platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, etc.), and how to analyze results.
  • Thorough understanding of traditional and digital marketing methods and market research methods. 
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret various types of documents and results, and write high-quality materials and articles in a pre-designed style and format. 
  • Superior analytical and creative thinking skills, attention to detail, and curiosity.
  • SEO and standard web CMS systems, Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics, Social Marketing, CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization)
  • A thorough understanding of content's central role in search engine optimization (SEO) and inbound marketing. 
  • Compelling writing and sharp editing skills that span a range of platforms and diverse audiences.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication, be highly self-motivated, and able to schedule and follow-up on all actions with little direct supervision. 
  • Possess problem-solving/negotiation skills to resolve issues professionally.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Graphic Design experience is desirable.
  • Ability to write clear and concise presentations and reports summarizing data insights, outcomes, implications and recommendations for future implementations.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, cross - team capacity, manage multiple projects and work within tight deadlines in a face-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude toward donors, co-workers, vendors and the community. 
  • Ability to effectively respond to complex requests or complaints from co-workers, supervisor, and/or management.
  • Knowledge of the blood banking industry and donor recruitment techniques is a plus. 

This position includes variable hours, including early morning and late evening activities, as well as weekends, traveling to events, and overnight stays.
