JOB SUMMARY:

The Marketing and Communications Assistant is a term appointment and supports the position of Director of Marketing and Communications for The Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity and Saint John Vianney College Seminary. It includes all marketing and communications activities, including execution of a strategic marketing plan; support of strategic funding initiative; management of the websites, social media platforms and email marketing campaigns; development and execution of print and online advertising; maintenance of the seminaries’ photo database. This position has a .75 FTE.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assists Director of Marketing and Communications with the following:

  • Execution of a strategic marketing plan, including new brand rollout.
  • Management of the website (Wordpress), social media platforms and email marketing campaigns.
  • Development and execution of print and online advertising.
  • Maintenance of the seminaries photo database as well as One Drive.

Assist with writing and production of quarterly Oracle newsletter, semi-annual Vianney News and annual reports.

Manage print inventory.

Provide work direction for communications student worker.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field
  • 3-5 years professional experience in a communications-related position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in web and social media management preferred
