Join the Three Pillars team as Marketing and Communications Coordinator, where you’ll work with a close-knit, creative, and inspiring team that has fun while working towards our mission of serving older adults. Under the direction of Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, you’ll be the go-getter that provides support to the department and serves as the lead for major campus events.

As the Marketing and Communications Coordinator, you’ll perform a variety of specialized and administrative functions to increase Three Pillars’ visibility through the development and distribution of (amazing-looking) information and materials. A key focus of this position is the production of content, which will be created and distributed for: print and digital advertising, email marketing, our organization’s website, internal communication channels, brochures and flyers, and social media channels --- all to make people fall in love with the mission of Three Pillars and how we accomplish it. As a member of the Marketing and Communications team, you’ll always look for ways to highlight the great work of co-workers, add energy to conversations, encourage curiosity, dig into what’s working and what’s not, get smarter at your job through training, and smile a lot. You’ll collaborate with the department to brainstorm creative innovations, plan, execute, monitor, and evaluate our efforts. Your unmatched organizational skills, sunny disposition, and attention to detail will make you the perfect lead for our team’s production timelines and event coordination. If you’re also excited about snacking on gummy bears while filling jumbo sticky notes with ideas in colorful Sharpies, you’ll make a wonderful third member of the Marketing and Communications department.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or related area.
  • 1 to 4 years of experience, which may include a mixture of internship work and college coursework.
  • Extremely comfortable at a computer, working daily in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, and ready to learn new programs and systems quickly.
  • A creative eye for working in templates while maintaining brand integrity and attractive design.
  • A fierce independent work style with the ability to switch gears to bounce an idea off a team member or offer feedback.
  • A master list maker and keeper, who thrives on keeping an organized workflow that’s prioritized by importance and value to the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence in asking “why?” to ensure each task aligns with our nonprofit mission and team goals
