  • Graphic Design skills-show us some examples of your work! 
  • Track record of success in building relationships and brand value.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or other directly related field. 
  • Experience in creating logos, magazine design and production, developing marketing activities and/or other relevant experience that can be illustrated to benefit NSGA members.

The Marketing and Graphic Design Coordinator will play an integral role in the development of NSGA's content, engaging association members and those interested in the association through social media, managing and enhancing relationships with the association's constituents, and providing advice and guidance to enhance the association's brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES IN DETAIL:

  • Design print and electronic communications, including NSGA Now, postcards, brochures and other collateral utilizing Canva, InDesign, Illustrator and/or Photoshop.
  • Manage biweekly NSGA Scoreboard eNewsletter from start to finish: create content, ensure accuracy, distribute, manage bounce back reports and track click through rate.
  • Writing, editing and proofreading content for NSGA's news releases, member magazine, website, newsletters, advocacy messaging, video scripts; producing photographs, video, charts, graphs, logos, and event promotional /marketing materials.
  • Create promotional videos to enhance NSGA membership, research offerings and programs.
  • Manage NSGA website to ensure minimal errors, content freshness and design freshness.
  • Manage NSGA social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn Company page and group page) ensuring new, relevant content is posted on a weekly basis.
  • Manage website analytics and google analytics, reporting on website traffic at bi-weekly staff meetings. Craft marketing campaigns from results.
  • Manage NSGA google alert inbox and track all media hits in media hit spreadsheet.
  • Managing existing relationships, and building new ones, with association vendors such as printers, event photographers/videographers, etc., and supporting other internal departments and divisions in projects that utilize these vendors.
  • Coordinating the development and distribution of marketing materials, tracking and analyzing results of those efforts.
  • Create, manage and execute all marketing efforts for the Management Conference & Team Dealer Summit including: save the dates, promotional brochures and printed materials, eblasts, invitations and social media posts.
  • Provide excellent customer service to prospects and members of the Association.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Unquestioned integrity, commitment to advance interests of the organization, and dedication to constant improvement. 
  • Demonstrated experience creating quality graphic arts products. 
  • Writing clearly and concisely for both print and electronic vehicles. 
  • Experience in editing and proofreading, effectively providing and receiving feedback to enhance it. 
  • Experience in using social media for business purposes, managing electronic newsletter creation, distribution and evaluation using an HTML client such as Constant Contact, and updating a website using a Content Management System. 
  • Ability to quickly learn the sporting goods industry, understand the association's members' businesses, and see where NSGA fits into that structure. 
  • Ability to be flexible and handle multiple projects simultaneously, working under pressure of deadlines with minimal supervision. 
  • Ability to perform strategically and creatively, implement plans, and analyze results. 
  • Deep understanding of, and commitment to, a collaborative work environment where team achievement is most important. 
  • Ability to provide appropriate leadership within the overall team concept, while at the same time, maintaining personal accountability for success. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers by telephone, email, and personal contact, etc. (members, outside suppliers, and in-house departments, etc.). 
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency using Canva, InDesign, Illustrator and/or Photoshop, and Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel for the benefit of our members. 
  • Highly developed communication skills emphasizing listening, and, seeking first to understand, then to be understood. 
  • Ability to promote and present a favorable image, representing NSGA in the most positive light. 
  • A great sense of humor and ability to function effectively as part of a high-performance team. 
  • Ability to travel occasionally to fulfill responsibilities.
