The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for the overall management of all external communication activities across multiple channel and customer landscapes. The person in this position will design, develop and execute an integrated marketing communication strategy to ensure Metal-Era is highly engaged with all external audiences to drive growth. The Marketing Communications Manager will work with cross-functional stakeholders to develop clear messages about the value of Metal-Era’s engineered roofing products and solutions. Critical to this position is an understanding of what influences and motivates decision makers in choosing a provider of roofing solutions and services. This position is expected to demonstrate leadership and effectively manage communications agencies as well as to lead, plan, develop and implement communications campaigns leveraging internal and external resources, including management of marketing campaigns, channel events, content marketing, social media, digital, field marketing and content development. This position will work in conjunction with other teams in B2B marketing, as well as product marketing, channel and sales, to deliver effective integrated marketing communications campaigns. Of paramount importance is the constant drive to utilize all marketing communication resources to help meet our sales targets. Ideal employee will be a self-starter with strong organizational skills capable of working within a fast-paced company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement strategic initiatives and strengthen collaboration with channel marketing and sales to ensure deliverables meet goals, objectives and expectations. 
  • Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive advertising and public relations initiatives that will increase the organization’s image and brand position within the marketplace. 
  • Selects appropriate targeted messages and mediums to drive segment-specific behavior; collaborates across channels 
  • Acts as a thought leader in shaping and positioning go-to-market strategies – inclusive of media (social and other), promotions, sales enablement, product marketing collateral
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams – from creative, content and web and production to marketing and legal – to drive and create effective communications strategies. 
  • Create communications reporting/analytics dashboards and/or presentations for key stakeholders Manage internal teams to obtain necessary consent and providing final approval on all communications materials and plans. 
  • Oversee and directly manage external agency resources for creative, advertising and media placement including on-going planning, quality assurance, execution and reporting 
  • Ability to drive an overall project management process and to effectively manage deadlines and budgets 
  • Should have experience in creative development (agency and internal staff) and be able to apply that knowledge to enhance the customer experience Ability to manage and handle both day to day tactical programs and develop and oversee long-term strategies

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree is required 
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in communications, marketing or closely related field Previous experience working within a marketing organization is a must 
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required 
  • Very detail oriented with a strong analytical skills 
  • Solid leadership and professional presentation skills 
  • Open to learning new systems and a desire to improve processes 
  • Ability to travel when required 
  • Excellent interpersonal and business communication skills 
  • Willingness to learn and act as a change agent 
  • Ability to take the initiative and work both in a team and independently 
  • Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in Commercial Roofing, Commercial Construction or similar building envelop material is preferred 
  • Agency experience is desired, but not necessary 
  • Knowledge of Minority Business/Supplier Diversity and working with General Purchasing Organizations 
  • Naturally inquisitive and analytical Creative problem solver 
  • Knowledge of CRM software 
  • Design knowledge of Adobe, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, or other design software
