Ignite your passion by joining a purpose-driven organization centered around bicycles, community and partnership. This position is a key role within the QBP Brand Marketing team and will be responsible for leading the development of plans and integrated programs to create awareness and demand for designated distribution partners and specialty bicycle retailers.

As a brand steward and primary interface with internal clients, the marketing communications manager is responsible for communicating clear objectives to support growth and promote the company’s leadership position through a variety of initiatives and events. This position reports to the Director of Marketing & Corporate Communications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Accountable for implementing and measuring the success of comprehensive marketing and communication campaigns that will enhance brand’s image and position in the market place, supporting the sales and growth needs of the organization. 
  • Facilitate internal and external communications strategies and develop key messaging related to thought leadership content, industry publications, demand generation, channel communication and customer acquisition. 
  • Add value, drive growth and help set expectations for distribution partners andspecialty bicycle retailersby helping navigate access to the QBP marketing machine. 
  • Identify segments, audiences and key messages for targeted campaigns in various stages of the customer journey. Defines what success looks like for each campaign and ensures alignment to strategic goals. Tracks and measures success of marketing campaign, and routinely revises if needed. 
  • Operate with a ‘Digital-First’ mindset and utilize that mindset to create multi-phase nurture campaigns utilizing existing and new digital marketing technologies. 
  • Responsible for planning, preparing and distributing internal and external QBP communications, including - but not limited to - news releases, customer communications and corporate messages. 
  • Serves as a brand steward and storyteller, ensuring established purpose, promise, positioning are upheld to create differentiation, change perceptions and drive preference with our customers.

To perform the job successfully, an individual will need the following competencies:

  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and relationship building skills to effectively work with a diverse group/variety of people and personalities, including developing relationships with staff, customers, vendors, external organizations, and industry representatives. 
  • Customer/Vendor Management - Able to think customer- and vendor-first and drive relevant strategies that drive preference and loyalty for QBP. 
  • Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations.

Job Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of marketing and/or communications experience preferably in B2B. 
  • Proven, exceptional writing, editing and communication skills, with a desire to continually improve. 
  • 4-year college degree in a related field OR 10 years of professional experience. 
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing techniques. 
  • Knowledge of purpose-driven business and ability to transform audiences. 
  • Ability to identify long-term and short-term challenges/opportunities for growth and to develop appropriate goals and action plans. 
  • Demonstrated track record of identifying and solving complex problems.
