What we’re looking for:

We are looking for someone who will work with our Associate Director of Marketing in creating content and sharing our travel opportunities with a dynamic and diverse audience. The ideal candidate will have experience using a variety of social media platforms and sites and know how to listen and engage with an online community. We’re looking for a great writer, amazing storyteller, enthusiastic traveler and passionate supporter of anyone looking to get out of their comfort zone and travel abroad. Experience in blogging, social media management and photo and video editing is important.

Greenheart Travel is growing rapidly, so we’re looking for someone who is also highly adaptable and able to actively contribute to new ideas, growth and constant improvement. We have a small staff, and each person wears many hats, and our roles are constantly evolving. Every staff member has input in the brainstorming and direction of our department.

Some things you might do as the Marketing Content Coordinator:

  • Be the liaison between Greenheart Travel and Greenheart International’s marketing department to communicate and facilitate design requests, video requests, web design requests, etc. This includes assisting with: editing, brainstorming and strategizing need/distribution for content 
  • Manage Greenheart Travel’s social medial accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat) and related promotional calendar 
  • Help with our Greenheart Travel blog outreach through writing, editing and optimizing alumni and staff articles 
  • Create, edit, manage the production of multimedia content (photos, videos, flyers) 
  • Manage website content and visuals through WordPress; follow SEO best practices 
  • Produce long and short form videos for promotion of Greenheart Travel’s programs and develop a strategic plan for our YouTube channel 
  • Update online advertising listings and promotions 
  • Assist program managers during peak sales times with participant Skype interviews 
  • Connect with Greenheart Travel participants and alumni to share their stories from their travel adventures with our online community 
  • Assist with additional administrative tasks as needed

Some qualifications you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field 
  • To warrant the Manager title: 2 years FT working experience in marketing content creation or related field 
  • Extensive travel experience (experience living, studying, volunteering or teaching abroad highly preferred) 
  • Dedication to cultural exchange, travel and a passion for learning about other cultures 
  • Experience with WordPress, Photoshop Suite, iMovie, Hootsuite, and similar 
  • Proactive, diligent, positive & creative self-starter with exceptional ability to learn quickly 
  • Great work ethic and excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills 
  • Social media and blogging experience (experience with professional social outreach preferred) 
  • Keen attention to detail 
  • Creative and outside-of-the-box thinking 
  • Can manage multiple priorities and able to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Outgoing, flexible, with a willingness to learn and take initiative 
  • Comfortable on the phone and can connect with groups of all ages, nationalities, ethnicities and backgrounds

Compensation:

Commensurate with experience plus incentives and benefits.
