Amla Commerce is looking for an experienced, data-driven content writer to join our new and growing Marketing department. If you’re naturally curious, have a journalistic approach to writing, are able to write clearly about technically and functionally complex topics, and can manage a high volume of work under tight deadlines, you should keep reading.

This person will be in charge of writing and managing content web page copy, thought leadership content and blogs. The position will integrate with a digital marketing team to optimize content for search, target content, and distribute content.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct informational interviews with customers, product teams and sales, to learn and write success stories for creative marketing collateral development
  • Build and manage a rich content/editorial calendar that attracts qualified audiences to our website, landing pages and social media (including web copy, blog posts, press releases, whitepapers, industry reports, newsletters, webinars, infographics, etc.)
  • Develop content based product videos and sales collateral that support lead generation and demand capture goals
  • Maintain marketing literature
  • Grow marketing-qualified leads, by creating content that converts site traffic through calls-to-action, landing pages, and various lead generation tactics
  • Assist marketing operations in establishing closed-loop analytics to understand how our inbound marketing activity turns into customers, and continually refine our process to convert customers

Position must-have’s

  • A bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, marketing, english or communications
  • 2-4 years of business experience and applicable writing experience , either in journalism, or marketing or communications for a technical or complex product
  • Able to easily and accurately understand technical product information and synthesize complex information into effective B2B marketing messaging
  • Highly collaborative nature with ability to work with team members to understand overall digital ecosystem and strategy, and to ensure that content and copy are on brand, and SEO-optimized to drive traffic and conversions

Position nice-to-have’s

  • Experience writing for the web
  • Knowledge of the ecommerce industry and ecommerce software platforms
  • Knowledge about best practices for social, email, PPC, SEO and content strategy
  • General understanding of marketing automation
