This position reports to the executive Director of Marketing and University Communications and assists UW-Green Bay’s Office of Marketing and University Communication as a content specialist with specific focus on writing for marketing materials and marketing content for print, web, online, broadcast, outdoor and other emerging communication channels.

This position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Strengthen the UW-Green Bay brand and promote the University by serving as the lead writer for marketing content to internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Take a leadership role as requested in the creative conception and design of promotional and marketing materials, including print materials, web sites, videos, ad campaigns, presentations and any new communication or special project. 
  • Apply UW-Green Bay brand standards. 
  • Work as a member of a creative team to create impactful messaging, programs and campaigns. 
  • Edit web pages for message, tone and impact, leveraging best practices in web formatting, content hierarchy and keyword placement for optimal user experience, accessibility and search engine optimization.

Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or Communications at time of application. 7 years of experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working as a marketing writer for an agency, non-profit or business-to-consumer organization 
  • Understanding of the higher education culture and marketplace with the ability to collaborate and write marketing materials that resonate with intended and differentiated audiences.
