The Marketing Associate supports the execution of Doran’s strategic marketing plans for each of its business units. The marketing associate reports to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications and is responsible for supporting the implementation of a variety of marketing tactics – from digital channel management and content creation to coordination of new business proposals to developing award nominations, supporting corporate events and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Masterfully and creatively execute key marketing tactics across Doran Companies business lines. 
  • Basic graphic design using InDesign or other software. 
  • Write and create a wide variety of superb content for use across digital and print platforms for our various business lines – including for marketing of our residential properties, our construction company and our commercial property management business. 
  • Update corporate and property websites, social media channels and ILS sites. 
  • Maintain content calendars for all Doran Companies’ digital platforms, including Corporate and Property websites and social media channels. 
  • Support, help write and coordinate RFP responses for Doran Construction and Doran Development. 
  • Draft all industry award nominations and manage the master calendar of awards, seeking input from necessary business group leads. 
  • Coordinate all corporate sponsorships, as identified by Doran Companies’ leadership team. 
  • Support the planning and execution of all Corporate events. 
  • Coordinate and develop some content for the Doran Download, Doran Companies’ semi-annual employee newsletter. 
  • Stay on top of market trends, bringing new ideas and marketing insights to the Marketing team on a regular basis. 
  • Dedication to becoming highly adept in all key technology platforms used by the Marketing team, including the basics of Yardi, MailChimp, ILS sites, Constant Contact and more.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

The Marketing Associate position is ideal for a highly organized marketing and communications professional who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative, deadline-driven environment and who does so with grace, positivity and an obvious entrepreneurial spirit. While development and property management experience are not required, excellent writing, critical thinking and communications skills are essential to this position.

  • Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent writing abilities for digital and print mediums. 
  • High degree of fluency in digital marketing, Google Analytics and SEM. 
  • Basic proficiency with graphic design tools such as InDesign – or a willingness to learn. 
  • Experience creating presentations in PowerPoint, Prezi and other platforms. 
  • Collaborative, positive problem-solver, with a deep commitment to quality client service. 
  • Superb ability to project manage and put excellent organizations skills to good use. 
  • Willingness to perform basic administrative tasks – and an attitude that you are a team player willing to support where needed. 
  • A go-getter, who is enthusiastic about learning new skills and generously sharing knowledge and expertise with others on the team and throughout the Company. 
  • Curious and engaging, with a demonstrated willingness to take on new and increasing levels of responsibility.

Required Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Journalism, English, Marketing or Communications. 
  • 2-5 years of professional experience.
