MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS:

Production and Job Trafficking:

  • Serves as primary administrator of project management system (Basecamp); opens and closes all job orders; coordinates all creative pick-up and kickoff meetings 
  • Coordinates the production of all marketing print collateral from concept to completion 
  • Creates production calendars to effectively track jobs 
  • Coordinates the production of all printed materials 
  • Finalizes print specs (dimensions, finishing, paper) and secures print bids for all jobs; seeks cost-savings recommendations 
  • Verifies non-profit postal regulations are met and seeks cost-savings recommendations (size, dimensions, fold, tabbing) 
  • Coordinates printing, signs-off on approval proofs as necessary, verifies print quantities and ensures timely delivery of all materials 
  • Prepare mail house job specs, seeks approval from managers as required, ensures timely delivery of all materials, ensures timely mail date

Other Marketing Functions:

  • Creates and pulls targeted lists for all direct mail and digital marketing campaigns 
  • Project manages production and installation of signage (including Peavey Plaza posters, skyway signs, box office and lobby signage and outdoor banners), working with marketing assistant for any event-related signage needs 
  • Manages digital signage calendar, production and scheduling for Orchestra Hall and International Centre offices 
  • Coordinates all audience development special events (Pint of Music, Symphony for the Cities, Campus Nights, etc.) 
  • Works with marketing assistant and volunteer services manager to staff and plan Minnesota Orchestra presence at promotional events (Twin Cities Pride, MPR Day at the State Fair, etc.) 
  • Coordinates marketing for merchandise sales and related lobby promotions 
  • Manages all aspects of internet deal sites (coordinate fulfillment, revenue split with Ticket Office, route for approval, final sign-off)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualified candidates will have a collaborative spirit, high level of energy, be goal-oriented, and have the initiative to manage multiple projects simultaneously in deadline-driven environment 
  • Exceptional communications skills required 
  • Strong computer and organization skills, plus experience in direct mail practices. 
  • Bachelor’s degree, plus 2 years marketing experience required, preferably in the arts/culture or entertainment industry 
  • Experience managing graphic design and knowledge of printing process and negotiation preferred.
