Girls Play Sports is seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial, passionate, professional to lead marketing activities, including building an annual marketing plan and leveraging social media channels to build relationships between philanthropists, people of influence, and the Community of Evanston to foster leadership skills and confidence in girls through their participation in a wide variety of sports.

Reporting to the Executive Director you will use your social media and marketing skills to generate content and collateral materials that demonstrate the impact of Girls Play Sports on Evanston’s girls.

As the Marketing Director, your primary responsibilities include:

  • Managing internal and external creative, social, media and digital projects. 
  • Leading content development, social Ad trafficking (Google Ad grants), content calendar, and analytics. 
  • Ensuring consistent brand messaging and creative assets across all marketing touchpoints. 
  • Leading the development and execution of annual marketing and communications plans. 
  • Being the voice of Girls Play Sports by creating content for social, email and all digital channels. 
  • Tracking and measuring the performance of campaigns and owned channels. 
  • Increasing engagement across social media channels. 
  • Recruiting new supporters 
  • Collaborating with development director and executive director to increase paid registrations, promote events, and engage donors.

Successful applicants will have:

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in a marketing role. 
  • Impeccable writing skills. 
  • Experience in integrated digital/content production - digital, social, experiential. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating strategy, briefing, project management, and ROI measurement. 
  • Strong presentation, oral and written communication skills. 
  • Strong knowledge of social media and social media brand management.

Requirements:

You must be a college graduate of at least a 4-year business program, and preferably have 1-3 years of experience working in the field of social media and marketing.

  • Excellent public speaking skills. You enjoy speaking to strangers.

  • Highly motivated, organized, and eager to lead and achieve measurable outcomes in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Hours & Salary:

The Marketing Director will be expected to work approximately 10 hours per week. The salary for this part-time position is $10,000.
