SHUR-LINE Paid Marketing Intern Description:

The Marketing Intern brings energy, creativity, and marketing support to the team delivering professional results on short time frames for a variety of marketing projects. The position calls for a multi-talented person who likes for every day to be different. The Marketing Intern must demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions via emails, phone and meetings. The Marketing Intern should always maintain a positive attitude and exercise flexibility as required by the production schedule. The Marketing Intern should work in an efficient manner and deliver quality outputs accurately and on time.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks 
  • Assist with market analysis and competitor research, analyze findings and report results
  • Assemble product mockups for sales presentations
  • Update and create marketing materials, as needed (Adobe Illustrator and InDesign)
  • Assist in managing product information and organizing photo library
  • Proof and edit content to ensure that brand standards are met
  • Contribute to redesign of website through coordination of information, suggesting layout options, being a liaison with outside design firm, and proofreading content

Required Qualifications:

  • Working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in a related field (e.g. Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design)
  • Previous internship or related experience in marketing or communications is a plus
  • Intermediate Adobe Illustrator and InDesign skills 
  • Proficiency with the other Adobe Creative Suite products
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office – Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines

Compensation:

Paid internship based on level of experience. Average hours per week 30-40, flexible hours. We are looking for a commitment through the summer. We will work with the Intern's educational institution for college credit, if applicable.
