The Market Lead, Local Marketing will be part of a high impact team to advance the identification, development, and implementation of geo-targeted, strategic initiatives to driveomni-channel sales and traffic. Initiatives driven from this role include store-level and city-level campaigns. Store-level campaigns could be related to local news like store remodels, relocations, openings and closings. City-level campaigns are relevant to an entire market and may be targeting specific customer segments, unique competitive situations, or specific growth opportunities. Local marketing campaigns use a variety of marketing vehicles, including email, digital, social, radio, newspaper, and direct mail. This role will have a positive difference on Best Buys go-to-market plans by deepening our relationship with key customer segments to increase shopping frequency, spend, and loyalty efficiently and effectively while at the same time attracting new customers, both in-store and online.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute strategic local marketing plans across paid, earned and owned media channels, with clear and measurable objectives. 
  • Assist in bringing together financial analysis, primary and secondary research, competitive intelligence, local field leadership insights, and marketing savvy to build powerful, results-driven plans for unique campaigns. 
  • Project manage cross-functional team efforts, ensuring best practices transfer in a way that achieves business growth and builds strong internal partnerships. 
  • Assist in local marketing innovation as a smart risk taker that can transform ideas into measurable and scalable programs. 
  • Act as collaborator, advisor and counsel to leaders and cross-functional partners for local, geo-targeted marketing campaigns. 
  • Advises and informs managementof key findings and recommendations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of progressive Marketing or related experience 
  • Direct or indirect people leadership experience 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years marketing experience in Retail and/or National Brand experience 
  • 2 or more years experience in creating and executing marketing campaigns
