General Summary:

This full-time position manages a wide range of marketing projects at the Greater Green Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau, with a special emphasis of our online brand. This person interacts with marketing, sales and tourism service departments to ensure that the collateral and other communications reflect brand of the destination accurately.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist Director of Marketing in coordinating public relations and marketing activities. 
  • Responsible for budgeting and expending funds for digital and social marketing. 
  • Manage multiple social media platforms/accounts. 
  • Manage digital marketing and video production. 
  • Responsible for website management, content, and updates of multiple sites. 
  • Write content for monthly reports, e-newsletters, blog and printed materials.
  • Interact and build relationships with marketing suppliers and tourism partners. 
  • Coordinate the production of a wide range of marketing materials maintaining the Greater Green Bay brand. 
  • Take photos at CVB events, promotions and at partner attractions. 
  • Maintain photo database. 
  • Assist in fulfilling print, broadcast and social media requests from journalists. 
  • Attend CVB sponsored promotions and events. 
  • Assist with customer service duties at office and on location of Mobile Visitor Center. 
  • Coordinate promotional activities including National Travel & Tourism Week, Green Bay Restaurant Week and visiting journalist tours. 
  • Maintain confidentiality when required. 
  • Performs other related CVB tasks as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Computer proficiency with Hootsuite, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Adobe Photoshop required. 
  • Ability to learn existing content management system. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or business with an emphasis in marketing. 
  • 3-5 years of experience in a marketing/digital marketing role. 
  • Knowledge of travel or tourism industry preferred. 
  • Exceptional copywriting and grammatical skills, effective social language skills, as well as AP style. 
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines. 
  • Effective project management skills. 
  • Sound understanding of marketing principles. 
  • Effective understanding/use of latest technologies and online forums to advance brand. 
  • Team player, willing to exceed team goals. 
  • Plan decisions and practice good judgment. 
  • Be creative, self-motivated, confident and energetic.

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:

  • Must be able to operate a computer and standard office equipment such as calculator, telephone, copy machine, etc. 
  • Software used by the CVB to track group business and make sales presentations. 
  • Audio/Visual equipment such as projectors and other presentation/speaker related equipment. 
  • Trade show booths, displays and equipment associated with trade shows. 
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
