As an integral part of Uponor’s Intelligent Water team, the Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for defining and implementing marketing strategies for key customer segments that help achieve the company’s aspirations, strategic priorities and business goals.

The person in this role will develop and manage engagement marketing campaigns that purposefully integrate the company’s voice, brand standards and industry leadership position to drive knowledge, connection and behavior that builds business and Uponor’s customer-centric, values-based culture.

Specific work includes developing omni-channel communication strategies that drive customer awareness, engagement and market share; serving as the conduit for cross-functional collaboration and alignment on simultaneous projects; analyzing data to determine effectiveness; creating schedules, prioritizing work and maintaining deadlines; drafting engaging copy and conceptualizing layouts for digital and offline channels -- and then conveying those concepts to a variety of stakeholders.

The Marketing Communications Manager position works on a daily basis with the Intelligent Water and segment Marketing teams, Corporate Communications, Demand Generation/Digital Marketing, Brand/Corporate Social Responsibility, and agency partners.

Job Description:

  • Identify, develop and manage integrated marketing campaigns for the residential customer segment and Uponor Pro Squad program. Perform content and design reviews, facilitate stakeholder reviews and approvals, and ensure completion of projects according to budget and timelines. 
  • Facilitate creative planning sessions with key internal and external stakeholders. Develop project brief outlining engagement objectives, tactics and project timelines. Post-event planning, follow-up and reporting is key. 
  • Develop marketing communications strategies for various communication channels, including editing/proofing copy and approval processes, and managing vendor relations for any external vendor supplying marketing services. 
  • This role involves consistent writing on a daily basis. Examples of writing may include but not limited to: website content, email newsletters, and direct mail pieces. The candidate should have an interest in writing, and an ability to write quickly, with a priority on persuasion over perfection. 
  • Work collaboratively with other functions to plan and execute lead generation and nurturing campaigns 
  • Lead product launch and enhancement communication plans, identifying key launch initiatives and collaborating with internal teams to execute launch campaigns. 
  • We are looking for a multi-dimensional marketer who can easily move from strategy to execution. This role involves big picture, creative, and strategic thinking. The ideal candidate is resourceful with a natural tendency to “figure things out” with the tools at hand. We seek someone with an internal sense of motivation and an ability to work well even under pressure and ambiguity. 
  • The right candidate will have a confident, creative and curious mindset for business. We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in the evolving world of digital marketing and startups. 
  • The candidate should be comfortable working autonomously. Without outside intervention the candidate should understand how to adapt and revise deadlines as the business goals change.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or equivalent degree. 
  • 8+ years of related experience. 
  • Prior experience in Marketing Communications and/or Communications is required. 
  • Prior experience in Marketing Program Management, Business-to-Business Marketing, or similar experience is a plus. 
  • Knowledge and experience with SalesForce.com and Pardot is required. 
  • Must use an effective and approachable communication style to engage others and build credibility and rapport. 
  • Must be self-starter, goal oriented, positive attitude, and take initiative to achieve objectives. 
  • Must be a strong team player. 
  • Excellent organizational, project planning and time management skills.
