We are looking for a Marketing Technology Manager to manage and support the development of marketing technology tools and systems that meet the needs of the firm. This includes working collaboratively with many departments across the firm, including IT, Human Resources, Accounting and Risk Management, to ensure the systems and processes are appropriately serving the firm. The Marketing Technology Manager will also apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist the firm on issues related to the design, development, deployment and adoption of the firm's marketing technologies which are critical to business operations. It is essential to this role that the Manager demonstrates technical proficiency while also understanding the marketing side and can see the intersection of those two areas.

In addition, the Manager will be expected to serve as the liaison between the Client Relations team and the IT department, and he/she will be expected to effectively communicate the needs of each group. This position will also oversee various business development tools including experience and proposal databases, email marketing (Vuture), the department's use of SharePoint and other analytics.

Strategy & Planning:

  • Serve as lead application manager for the firm's CRM (ContactEase) and Vuture across the firm's national platform, working in close cooperation with firm-wide Client Relations and IT team members. 
  • Advise on best practices and support training and rollout of marketing systems.
  • Liaise with network administrators and software engineers to assist with quality assurance, program logic, and data processing.
  • Research and propose innovative and cost-effective solutions.
  • Lead new projects while simultaneously maintaining and improving ongoing marketing systems.

Business Development/Marketing:

  • Oversee and direct the firm's CRM system, including upgrades, utilizations, use for pipeline tracking and training.
  • Understand, evaluate and recommend new ways that technology can improve the firm's marketing function and contribute to the firm's business development goals. Work closely with internal cross-departmental teams and external vendors to manage the development, implementation, and integration of approved new requirements to the firm's marketing systems.
  • Provide solutions and recommendations for best practices and processes involving current technology to aid various marketing and business development projects and objectives.
  • Create, customize and maintain reports to assist in analyzing ROI on business development and marketing efforts, including mailings and events.

Data Quality:

  • Ensure the integrity of the data in the firm's CRM system is maintained.
  • Ensure ongoing data and list quality through analysis, research, and validation to firm standards. 
  • Perform initial and on-going data quality cleaning and tasks.
  • Develop and implement data maintenance plans and best practices to monitor the integrity of the data utilized in mass mailings and manage the planning and execution for the firm's various marketing business development projects. 

 Training:

  • Be a resource to attorneys, practice group leaders and the Client Relations team to design efficient and effective use of CRM by individuals and groups.
  • Oversight of ContactEase database and Vuture e-marketing training and onboarding for new and current users.
  • Create and maintain all marketing technology training and reference materials.
  • Serve as the primary technical/functionality troubleshooting contact for marketing technologies.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 5-7 years experience working with marketing technology in a professional services environment. 
  • Bachelors degree in related field.
  • Significant experience with CRM and email marketing systems and related integration and reporting features.
  • Strong sense of initiative in seeking out new technologies that have potential to be used as effective marketing tools.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who is able to manage multiple project simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent technological and database management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with lawyers, professional level staff and peers, and direct reports.
  • Project team management experience.
  • Experience working independently, as well as within cross-functional teams, in a collaborative and professional environment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
