The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for leading product management activities for the Mueller Sports Medicine brand in the mass market channel. This individual must be able to work in a fast paced environment with an emphasis on planning, cross-functional coordination, and delivering business objectives.

  • Annual Product Plan – along with the Director of Marketing, Director of NPD, and Sales Management develop a plan that aligns with company financial targets and consumer needs for assigned product line. This will include market opportunity evaluation, new product introduction, SKU reduction, and resource allocation. Must be able to work collaboratively with internal and external resources to drive business objectives. 
  • Project management and execution - manage the day-to-day logistics of product programs. Meticulous about tracking projects and maintaining timelines. 
  • Product Development – utilizes consumer-driven insights to drive growth of the Mueller brand. Direct new product development team to drive product creation and improvement. Support the development process from concept to consumer including product features, pricing, packaging, and on-going product maintenance. 
  • Content Development – works closely with broader marketing team to develop selling proposition for retail introduction and consumer communication. 
  • Market Analysis – leads market research initiatives utilizing internal and external resources to ensure products and projects are soundly based in fact. 
  • Sales – provide the sales team with presentation materials for retailer presentations and go-to-market support documents. Including: Sell-sheets, competitive evaluations, and other materials as needed. Attend line reviews as product expert. 
  • Brand Guidelines - work with internal team to bring brand guidelines to life through product. Ensure the brand is consistent in market delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, business or related field
  • Must have experience with mass market retailers. 
  • CPG background strongly desired. 

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience. 
  • Strategic leader - capable of driving both short and long-term business growth goals.
