Production Manager - Ad Agency

Celtic Chicago Inc., a full-service ad agency located in Morton Grove, is looking for a Production Manager to join our staff. This position requires someone with the ability to communicate/negotiate cost and timing of work with vendors, complete purchase orders, interface with agency staff and oversee a variety of projects at one time. The right candidate will be an effective communicator, multi-tasker and team player.

Responsibilities:

• Manage project specs, obtain vendor estimates and report project costs between vendors and internal staff at agency. 
• Communicate within creative, project management and client service departments regarding production costs and progress on projects. 
• Establish quality vendor relationships and a resource bank for print, photography, illustration and video providers. 
• Prepare and coordinate working files with designated vendor/media outlets on projects to ensure consistent set-up and correct production. 
• Manage vendor invoicing and review invoices presented for payment with accounting department. 
• Coordinate and prepare award show entries for the agency. 
• Maintain print samples and project files on server for the department.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in advertising, business or related field 
• 2-5 years in print and vendor management in an ad agency 
• Experience in Adobe Suite including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator 
• Ability to manipulate files, make changes and prepare for print 
• Photoshop file manipulation a plus 
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills 
• Strong time-management skills and ability to handle multiple deadlines.
