Major Duties & Tasks
1. Assist with the planning and implementation of the Chamber Industry-Councils (30%)
a. Work with the President & CEO to develop resources and supporting materials for Council meetings
b. Help plan Council meetings, prepare for events, and assist in necessary follow-up
2. Assist with the planning and implementation of Emerging Leaders’ programming (30%)
a. Work with the Managing Director to develop resources and supporting materials for our 2018-2019 Emerging Leaders LGBT College Mentorship Program (including conducting research, compiling information, and creating and/or editing documents)
b. Help plan professional development opportunities, events and workshops for both mentees and mentors to enjoy for the duration of the Emerging Leaders Program
c. Seek out resources and opportunities in the community that could be valuable to Emerging Leaders (this may involve reaching out to partner organizations and other members of the public)
3. Help with the planning and implementation of Chamber events (40%)
a. Work with staff to plan and organize event details such as scheduling, contacting venues, organizing guest lists, sending out invitations and arranging catering services
b. Develop promotional and marketing materials for Chamber events (including online marketing, email marketing and direct marketing)
c. Create surveys and analyze feedback from Chamber members after events
