CMR is seeking public relations professional with 7-10 years of public and media relations experience to join our fast-growing agency. To succeed in the position, the ideal candidate will have superior writing and editing skills; knowledge of and experience working with diverse audiences; and existing relationships with local media outlets. Overall, past experience within an agency is desired. 

  • Serve as daily liaison between clients and the media 
  • Manage and oversee the development of creative, out-of-the-box public and media relations tactics, including: pitch letters, news releases, media alerts, white papers and case studies 
  • Manage and oversee junior public relations professionals 
  • Creatively promote news stories and features to the media 
  • Maintain strong relationships with various members of the media 
  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, communications, marketing or a related field 
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of public and/or media relations experience, preferably in an agency environment 
  • Knowledge of and experience working with diverse and multicultural audiences 
  • Ability to think creatively to truly engage the media 
  • Ability to work well within the fast-paced environment of a growing agency 
  • Experience working with community-based media is a plus
