Public Relations Intern

The 2019 Barkin McKeithanScholarship Program will provide a $2,000 scholarship and paid summer internship to a full-time Wisconsin student entering his or her senior year in the fall of 2019.

We are seeking students who have demonstrated an interest in learning more about the communications and PR fields. The selected intern will have the opportunity to experience different aspects of the firm, such as marketing research, public affairs, media relations, crisis and corporate communications and community relations. Responsibilities will include assisting account staff with client-related tasks including monitoring media coverage, drafting news releases, research, special event planning and marketing materials, and assisting the account support team with other administrative tasks as requested. Mueller Communications cultivates top PR practitioners by hiring ambitious, intelligent individuals looking to enter the PR trade and cultivating them through its PR Internship program. To be considered for the 2019 Barkin McKeithan Scholarship Program, you must meet these requirements: Enrolled as a full-time student at a Wisconsin college or university, or be from Wisconsin if you’re enrolled out of state; Entering senior year in the fall of 2019; and Must be available to participate in the Mueller Communications full-time internship program in Milwaukee during the summer of 2019.

In addition to a $2,000 scholarship, this is a competitive, hourly-rate paid internship.
